Application

EME SUPRA E-10 de-stemming and de-stalking machine for cheries, yellow plums and different sorts of berries, for peeling silver onions, almonds or removing the petals of cucumbers etc.

Operation

Product can be supplied to the system by, a conveying elevator, a feeding belt or through a vibrating table.

The fruits roll from the intake funnel at the upper end of the inclined array of rubber-coated rollers. The rollers operate in counter rotating pairs and are supported by special plastic bearings. This counter rotating action gripping the stalks, leaves, skins and any foreign substances, gently removing them from the fruit and deposing under the rollers ensuring that products on their way down the slope are gently and evenly turned several times. Thus also residues of stalks or leaves etc. are grasped. Water sprinkler pipes are mounted on the slied device which clean the fruit and cool the special plastic bearings.

The de-stemmed and washed product rolls down the inclined rolle section to the exit of the machine.

Construction

The baseframe is a solid cantilever frame made from stainless steel allowing free access underneath the stalk-removing section. The rubber-coated, counter rotating rollers are mounted in special plastic bearings with retaining springs. The 50 rollers are driven by means of a rustproof gear mechanism fitted beneath the feeding tunnel. The water-cooled special gearbox is totally enclosed and filled with oil, thus it is maintenance-free. The design of theadaptors and special bearings allowes the rapid replacement, ensuring minimum machine downtime. The angle of incline of the rollers is adjustable for use with different products, adjustement is easy to perform an accesible. Transport equipment for feeding the product, selection belts at the exit or other conveyors for transporting away the residues can be easily fitted.
