EME Pocket Filler

The EME Pocket Filler is specially designed for piece-type and bulk-type foodstuffs in the canned and frozen food industries. The machine is suitable for filling foodstuffs such as meat pieces or mixtures, fruits, vegetables, pasta, rice or mixed products. These products can be either wet or dry.

Function:

The EME Pocket Filler is a continuous rotary machine and is produced with different numbers of filling heads, depending on the output required, tha pack size and type of product. Each filling head constists of a telescoping cylinder with a slide-plate at the bottom, which is allowed to open only when a container is present. Both, the filling turret height and the volume of the cylinders are centrally adjusted by electric motors. The volume can be adjusted during running to compensate for changes in product bulk density, either manually or by automatic feedback from a check-weighting machine.

Changeparts allow the metering cylinders to be doubled in size, as required.

Slight overfilling of the product onto the filling turret top-plate, followed by the action of the scraping mechanism, ensures uniform volume in the metering cylinders. After the scraping area, the slider-plate open and the product transfers directly into the containers.

Air jets may be used to assist the complete emptying of the metering chambers. As an option, the machine may be equipped with piston assistance to displace the product into the containers. This is required for difficult-to-fill products such as brawn-mixtures.

Containers such as cans or glass jars are transported through the machine on an integrated slatchain conveyor and are positioned under the filling heads by the infeed scroll and starwheels. Top-loading cartons are transported on a flighted chain conveyor.

Design:

The EME Pocket Filler is a extremely rugged construction, designed for high filling rates and long duty periods. The complete construction is made of steinless steel and plastics and the machine table is designed as a collecting reservoir. All materials userd are inert to food Drive comes from frequency-controlled motors and is protected against overload by a steinless safety-coupling. The power is transmitted by noiseless and low-maintenance gears.

All machine components contacting the product may be quickly and easily cleaned. EME Pocket Fillers are delivered complete with all necessarily auxiliary units and electrics, and with PLC controll on request.
