--- EME Vacuum Filling Machine

Application:

EME Vacuum Filling Machines are designed to fill both freeflowing and viscous liquids, such as sugar syrup onto canned fruit, vinegar solution onto pickles or shredded vegetables, as well as apple an other fruit sauces, oils and similar products.

Because of the special design of the system, overfilling of the headspace is impossible. The EME liquid system allows the machine to meet exacting hygienic standards, because the liquid to be filled is constantly circulated via pump. The uniform headspace in the filled containers allowes secure sealing of the lids, giving the required conditions for effectve pasteurisation or sterilisation of the product.

Operation:

Depending on the type of application and the output required, the EME Vacuum Filler is equiped with different numbers of filling heads. The filling temparature of the product can be up to 90º Celsius.

The containers to be filled enter the machine on a slatchain conveyor, via an infeed scroll and starwheel and are located under the filling heads. These heads are raised over the starwheels and guides on a cam track, descend to engage and secure each container. The 6-lobe valve-operating stars are then rotated into the vacuum position as they pass the first striking roller. In this position the vacuum in the containers can reach 99.6%, so that the air is fully evacuated.

As the machine rotates further a second striking roller moves the valves into the filling postion and product is drawn by the high vacuum inside the containers. Product continue to enter until the vacuum is balanced, so that the machine is suitable both for filling containers and for completing the fill in partially-filled containers.

If a container is not present, the filling head follows the cam-path and does not contact the striking rollers, so that the filling valve is not operated, giving a secure "No container - No fill"-feature.

Before discharging from the machine, the filling valves are rotated into the vacuum venting position, enabling the containers to be released as the enter the discharge starwheel.

The complete upper turret of the machine is raised and lowered on a central height adjustment, to accommodate different heights of containers. Exchange of the conteiner sizeparts is rapid, so that the machine can be changed to a ne size within a very short time.

Design:

EME Vacuum Filling Machines are rugged constructions and give a long service at high filling rates. The machines are constructed completeley from stainless steel and plastics. All materials are inert und suitable for food use. The drive comes from frequency-controlled motors and stainless-steel, safety clutch protects against overload. Power transmission is by noiseless and low-maintenance gears.

Thr product is drawn from the central reservoir into the containers through stainless-steel pipes which are immersed into the liquid in the central reservoir tank. Intercepted liquid is also automatically returned to this tank from the vacuum interceptor. The vacuum-pump cross-section, as well as that of the field pipes and valve openings, is ampy dimensioned, allowing viscous products with inclusions of solid matter to be filled.

All filling valves are free from dead areas and are easy to clean. EME Vacuum Filling Machines are delivered complete with all accessories such as vacuum pumps and vacuum reservoir and are fully pre-wired electrically.

Output:

From 15-650 containers/min. depending on filling volume and product.
