Application

KT EME piston filling machines are specifically designed for filling dilute, thin, viscous and pasty products. Filling of rigid containers, cans, jars, bottles, pails and canisters, filling by volume enabling partial or complete filling of containers. The Filling system can be supplied as a complete machine or as a unit for integration into other equipment, filling both food and non food products, into a wider range of containers.

Function

The piston filling machine operates in cyclic manner and can be provided with up to eight filling stations and is suitable for handling both cold and hot products. The system can be installed onto and synchronised with an existing conveyor.

The dosing cylinders are mounted directly under the product hopper, the hopper having a level sensing system providing control for the customers product valve or product pump. The dosing pistons draw the product from the hopper into the dosing cylinder on the recharge stroke. The pistons then dispense the product into the container via the pneumatically powered valve. Dosing volume is infinitely variable over the range of the cylinder size.

The dosing pistons can be powered pneumatically, hydraulically or using servo motors, to best suit the application. A variety of container positioning devises are available to ensure containers are accurately positioned under the filling heads, the choice being dependant on the characteristics of the container. A filling station include a no container no fill feature.

Construction

Th KT EME piston filling machines is made from food industry approved stainless steel, plastics and hard anodized aluminium components.

The machine is completely wired. Pedestrial mounted control panel containing all switches and contactors.

Approx. 2 - 150 containers per minute, depending on number of filling stations, fill volume and product

20 ml - 25 Litres using suitable format parts and alternate dosing cylinders
